Matthew Barnes first moved to Charlotte in 1998 where he would spend most of his primary education in the then new developing schools, starting at Hawk Ridge Elementary and Jay M. Robinson, before finishing in the first graduating class of Ardrey Kell in ’08. Creative curiosity saw him spend the next several years in Philadelphia where he completed an acclaimed experimental animation short film and worked in community art projects. His travels have taken him from France to England, and eventually a long tenure in Australia. After learning about business and structure through the family owned, ‘The Olive Tap’, he begins a new chapter with the launch of NCLT, a local podcast radio show designed to hi-light the individuals that keep the city vibin’.
